Rancho Guejito Vineyard, San Diego County
59 cases made
There is a young vineyard tucked away in the northeast San Diego hills, a place where until Prohibition, Mission grapes grew and a lively winery thrived. Long after all that disappeared, new vines were planted on the land in Rhône varieties of every sort, including Counoise, one of the 13 red grapes of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. On its own, it makes a juicy, vibrant, low-tannin ruby-red wine, which should absolutely be chilled and enjoyed in glou-glou fashion. Returning after a 3-year hiatus!
Unfined & unfiltered. No cold stabilization; natural sediment will form upon extended refrigeration.
