Next up from the j.brix crew: 2013 Uncontainable Vin Gris of Grenache. For the 4th year in a row (!) the Uncontainable comes. This one, well, it does as it pleases. So pale; paler still; the very palest of pinks... that which cannot be held captive.
Racking the Uncontainable/Ghost in the Machine
The latest Uncontainable should make landfall in early April, along with a brand new wine for the crew:
Nomine Amoris, Pinot Gris from Kick On Ranch Vineyard in Los Alamos. Foot-trod by angelic children, 36 hours on skins for textural influence, and fermented without any oak, this snappy, spicy white (just 20 cases!) desires spring food: stracciatella, pea shoots, fava beans, sweet-corn risotto, oysters with Thai chile mignonette... oh, get ready!
