Taste the beautiful dreamer's final incarnation from these vines at Alamo Creek Vineyard, which were removed after harvest, victims of the ongoing California drought. The previous year, the drought caused the vines to lose their crop; heartbreakingly, we made no La Belle Rêveuse in the 2014 vintage. We were greatly gladdened when they produced just enough fruit the following year for us to make this one single barrel; but alas, that was the end. Thankfully, other sections of the vineyard continue to survive and thrive, so there will be future Syrah vintages from Alamo Creek, but this is the very last one from these special, striving, valiant lost vines.
